Dine and Delight

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of enjoying a relaxing staycation at one of my all-time favorite destinations, the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Merlin Beach. Centered around the enticing theme "Dine and Delight," the half-board package I chose included a delicious breakfast each morning, along with the flexibility to select either lunch or dinner every evening, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the resort’s culinary offerings.

The food throughout my stay was nothing short of exceptional — each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. One of the highlights was the happy hour at the Rum Shack, located right by the beach. The buy-one-get-one-free drink promotion made it even more enjoyable to unwind while taking in the stunning ocean views and gentle sea breeze.

Among all the wonderful experiences during my visit, the Thai cooking class stood out as my absolute favorite activity in June 2025. It was both educational and fun, giving me the opportunity to learn authentic techniques and recipes. By the end of the class, I proudly prepared a full three-course Thai meal myself, adding a memorable and hands-on dimension to my staycation.

The room was very spacious, that I got upgraded from the regular room. Comfortable bed with also a balcony to enjoy the pool or beach view.
